Petal Fall Weekend at Exbury Gardens

Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June :: 11am - 3pm

Children are welcomed into the Gardens free-of-charge this weekend and encouraged to pick up fallen petals from the rhododendrons and azaleas. A giant collage will then be prepared by the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS).

Wartime walks at Exbury Gardens

Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June :: start times 11am and 2pm

As part of the Exbury Veterans D-Day rememberance weekend, author John Stanley is hosting a series of guided walks at Exbury Gardens to commemorate a mysterious incident that happened in the run-up to the Normandy landings.
The guided walks unravelling the mystery of the ‘Exbury Junkers will start and end inside Exbury Gardens, visiting the site of the bomber crash and other areas not usually open to visitors.
To reserve a place, please call the Exbury Reservations Office on 023 8024 5750 (Mon-Fri, 9.30am – 4.30pm). Places are limited. Payment (usual admission) may be made on the day at gate admissions. Signed copies of John Stanley’s book will be on sale in the Exbury Gardens Gift Shop.

Lymington Arts Festival

Sunday 12 - Saturday 18 June

The 2011 Festival has a 'linkage,' theme and will encompass a variety of arts activities including fine art, sculpture, music, drama, literature, photography, poetry and a diverse selection of crafts. Exhibitions, music & theatre performances, workshops, competitions and taster-sessions will be on offer. The festival will culminate with a free one-day arts and music event on Saturday 18th June centred on Lymington High Street and the Lymington Community Centre.

Many activities FREE or at nominal charge. Some events raising money for charity. Lymington High Street Performance Day; Sat 18 June, 11am to 8pm: FREE.

Calshot Sailing Club Open Day

Sunday 19 June :: 12pm - 4pm

Boats and buoyancy aids provided - people just need to bring a change of clothing and a towel because you may get a bit damp! There will be Cats/Lasers and all sorts of other boats to try out, some faster than others but all helmed by an experienced crew with lots of safety cover.
There will also be a bbq (small charge) with burgers, sausages etc.
